Democratic political blogger/reporter Ben Tribbett registers his confusion aboutwhy Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.) would hold his annual pig roast on September 11, 2010.

The large pig being carved up, the hayrides, and a big party across his lawn and around the pool just doesn'tseem appropriate for the 9th anniversary of the September 11th attackson New York and Virginia .  

That reminds me : How do people feel about this?

Liberty Central, a tea party-related group founded by Ginni Thomas ,wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, is circulating apetition opposing the mosque and Ginni Thomas is set to speak at an anti-mosque rally on Sept. 11.

I can't think of the last political rally that occurred on 9/11. Perhaps Warner could add an anti-mosque-themed game of lawn darts to his party?

UPDATE: Ben Smith points out that Thomas is one of several conservative stars whose names appear on event promotion but aren't actually speaking there.
