And Now, Hamas

How do you gas up the Ground Zero Mosque story as it heads into week four? Talk to Mahmoud al-Zahar and get Hamas to endorse it.

“We have to build everywhere,” said Mahmoud al-Zahar, a co-founder of Hamas and the organization’s chief on the Gaza Strip.

“In every area we have, [as] Muslim[s], we have to pray, and thismosque is the only site of prayer,” he said on “Aaron KleinInvestigative Radio” on WABC.

“We have to build the mosque, as you are allowed to build the church and Israelis are building their holy places.”

The medium is the message here. Aaron Klein

is the Jerusalem-based author

of “The Manchurian President,” one of the most wild anti-Obama books out there (among other things, it presents evidence that President Obama is not an American citizen and that Bill Ayers wrote “Dreams From My Father”). He’s also tried this trick before. In 2008, he conducted an interview with Ahmed Yousef in which the Hamas political adviser “endorsed” Obama. Cue: Days of headlines and weeks of “why isn’t the media covering this” blog posts about Klein’s great scoop. This is the guy you want running your news cycle?
