That’s the line in congressional candidate Ben “son of Dan” Quayle’s TV ad that doesn’t sit well in the wake of this story :
The son of former Vice President Dan Quayle and an Arizona Republicancandidate for Congress admitted Tuesday night that he did, in fact,post comments on DirtyScottsdale.com, a website devoted to chroniclingthe trashy side of the Scottsdale nightclub scene… In an interview with Phoenix’s 12News ,Quayle, 33, denied Dirty Scottsdale founder Nik Richie’s claim that heposted under the pseudonym “Brock Landers,” a reference to a porn starin the movie “Boogie Nights.”
Is this what Quayle expected to be talking about the day he launched an ad in which, straight to the camera, he says he was “raised right”? Possibly! This is the televised version of getting in trouble, yelling “look over there, a zeppelin,” and running away while everyone looks over there. I don’t know if this will matter, as tea party favorite and Quayle rival Vernon Parker has struggled for momentum in the race for this safe GOP seat, but this really is some ad – all the best parts of Alabama viral videos boiled down and utilized by the handsome son of a vice president. Steel yourself as Quayle calls Obama “the worst president in history” and growls that “somebody needs to go to Washington and knock the hell out of the place.”
