At least one person isn’t interested in speculation about the 2016 presidential election: Hillary Clinton.
Speaking on a trip to Ireland, Clinton seemed amused by questions about her prospects for an encore presidential run. "I’m right now too focused on what I’m doing to complete all the work we have ahead of us before I do step down,” she told reporters, referring to her longstanding plans to step aside as secretary of state next year. For now, she said, she is looking forward to “simple pleasures” like friends and “other pursuits.”
A recent poll showed that 61 percent of Democrats favor Clinton to clinch the Democratic nomination in 2016, quashing her nearest rival Joe Biden, who earned 12 percent.
