Gmail Ups Attachment Limit to 10GB

Still have those HD photos and video from your vacation that your parents are bugging you to send them?

Larger files are usually a hassle to share because of email attachment restrictions. But Google took a step toward easing that pain this week by integrating Gmail and its online storage service Google Drive, which will allow users to attach files from Google Drive into their Gmail messages up to 10GB in size. That’s about 400 times bigger than what other services are offering.

And Google is going one step further: It makes sure your recipients have permission to use the file and prompts you to make any required changes before sending out the documents. Now get to it—your parents have been waiting on those photos of your new apartment for too long.
