Don’t Expect an Apple TV Before Next Fall

Apple fans still holding out hope for an Apple TV set before this time next year are probably going to be disappointed.

Financial analyst Gene Munster, who had been stirring rumors of a 2012 release, has pushed back his predictions for delivery to November 2013. He says specialty components for an Apple TV set are not yet moving to Apple’s Asian suppliers as he previously believed. In addition to the Apple television, Munster lays out other 2013 predictions including an iPad Mini with Retina display in March, an iOS 7 announcement in June, and a moderate upgrade to the iPhone 5 in September.

Munster expects the television set to come with Siri functionality, App Store integration, and app control through the iPhone or iPad, at a cost of $1,500 to $2,000.
