In a rare move, No Doubt has pulled its latest music video after an outcry from fans and Native American groups.
The video for its song “Looking Hot” depicts the band as cowboys and Indians, complete with teepees, headdresses, and exaggerated native “dances.” After the objections, the band issued an apology on its website that concluded: “Being hurtful to anyone is simply not who we are.”
“Looking Hot” is the second single off No Doubt’s new album Push and Shove, and the band will perform the song on Fox’s X Factor this week. Presumably, they’ll leave their new costumes at home.
