RNC Attendees Removed After Taunting Black CNN Camerawoman

Day two of the Republican National Convention has been marred by an incident in which two attendees reportedly threw nuts at a black camera operator for CNN, telling her, “This is how we feed animals.”

The incident, which occurred on the day when Ann Romney and Chris Christie were delivering speeches to delegates, was first reported on Twitter by former MSNBC anchor David Shuster, and reported out by website Talking Points Memo, which obtained confirmation of the altercation from CNN but no further details.

The attendee was removed from the convention by police, and the actions have since been condemned by convention leadership. Still, when the headline from the Republican convention floor is “racist attack on member of the media,” the word bias takes on a whole new meaning.
