Rihanna to Oprah: Chris Brown Is Still the Love of My Life

Rihanna wasn’t kidding when she said she wants a “Rude Boy.”

Appearing on Oprah’s Next Chapter she said hip-hop artist Chris Brown is still the love of her life, over three years after he severely beat her in a limousine during an altercation on the eve of the 2009 Grammy Awards.

She added that after being angry for a long time she now forgives Brown and they remain very close friends, though his new relationship with American model Karrueche Tran doesn’t make it easy. 

Brown’s career initially faltered after pleading guilty to felony assault but he has since bounced back winning, this year’s Grammy for best R&B album.

Rihanna admitted during the interview that she must move on—an idea Oprah and thousands of fans surely agree with, even if the difficult relationship seems to be fertile ground for hits.
