If there was any question as to whether big Hollywood is in the Obama Camp, Luke Skywalker may have answered it with the finality of a lightsaber swing.
Mark Hamill, who played the Hero of the original Star Wars trilogy, told the site On The Red Carpet: “If you don’t vote for Barack Obama, you’re insane. Cause without him I think the middle class will completely disappear. And you look at Romney, and I’m sure he’s a nice guy, but I think he’s like the Thing. He only imitates human behavior. He’s not actually human himself.”

There you have it folks. Luke Skywalker, who knows his Hollywood monsters and heroes as well as anyone, has chosen sides in the fight for the empire. Can you still be a part of the rebel forces when you’re stumping for the incumbent? Either way this election cycle’s title seems somewhere between A New Hope and Attack of the Clones.
