NBA’s Tony Parker Suing Club Over Drake and Chris Brown Brawl

Tony Parker is seeing red … and perhaps a little green after the NBA star was injured in the recent bottle-throwing melee between Chris Brown and Drake at a SoHo nightclub centered around their affections for Rihanna.

According the New York Post, the San Antonio Spurs guard filed papers in Manhattan Supreme Court holding the owners of the now-closed Vandam Street club responsible for a “corneal laceration of the left eye and other injuries.” Parker is now wearing a therapeutic contact lens and wants $20 million.

A statement released by his lawyer says:

“The defendants were reckless, careless and negligent in permitting Drake’s entourage and Brown’s entourage to be in the club at the same time despite known tension between the two.”

Witnesses say the fight started when Drake sent a note to Brown’s table that read “I am f–cking the love of your life.”

While an eye injury is serious business for a professional athlete, shouldn’t Parker know better? This is America, where late-night celebrity club fights are supposed to be part of the evening’s entertainment.
