If the latest iPhone 5 leaks and rumors can offer a megabyte or two of truth in totality, then this coming fall the world is likely to see some big changes to Apple’s top-selling gadget.

A new video leaked online by parts-seller ETradeSupply and reported by Gizmodo seems to feature a back plate of iPhone’s next generation. Notable differences include the suggestion of a significantly longer screen, a much smaller dock connecter, and a smaller SIM card slot. IPhone owners will recognize another design shift that could be considered heresy—a headphone jack that has moved from the top to the bottom of the phone.

While the launch of the iPhone 5 will likely come in October—not at the company’s Worldwide Developer Conference next week—the latest leaks give Applephiles something to talk about. And a bigger screen could suggest another kind of first—the Mac maker taking design cues from … gasp … other smartphones!
