Well, it seems like a bit of a step up from Governor Rick Perry: Michelle Obama read the Top 10 List on Late Show With David Letterman last night.
The list of “fun facts about gardening” from the gardener in chief included such revelations as “In their lifetime, the average American will eat half a radish,” and “Later this year, the Supreme Court will finally rule on tomato verses tomaato.”
The main reason for her appearance of course was the first lady’s new book about gardening, American Grown. Mrs. Obama has been on a mission to improve the eating habits of the country’s children and adults as part of an effort to help curb obesity. Was her performance good? Well, it’s tough to get chemistry with the host when you’re appearing via a feed from the White House.
Still, it could always be worse.
