The Obama campaign has gotten yet another reminder that when it comes to Bill Clinton you have to take the good with the bad.
Appearing on CNN, the former President suggested it’s time to stop criticizing Mitt Romney for his work in private equity at Bain, saying that the former Massachusetts governor had “a sterling business record.” Not exactly what Obama campaign officials wanted to hear from one of their most powerful surrogates, considering they just recently launched a blitzkrieg of Bain-related attacks on Romney.
At least, there was a silver lining in Clinton’s latest interview. He did predict Obama would win re-election by five or six points. Which at this point probably carries about as much weight as any of the “all-over-the-map” polls.
