After years of gun-toting and bow-hunting, Ted Nugent may have finally shot himself himself in the foot.
The long-haired rocker and outspoken conservative has drawn the interest of the Secret Service, after he suggested an Obama re-election would force him to “either be dead or in jail by this time next year.”
Nugent’s insinuation he might commit violence against the president—made at the National Rifle Association’s annual gathering last weekend—will result in an “appropriate follow-up,” according to the Secret Service.
Meanwhile, Mitt Romney’s campaign distanced itself from what it called the “divisive” and “offensive” rhetoric. Does the Nugent regret his statements? Nope. “I’m a black Jew at a Nazi-Klan rally,” said the 63-year-old, suggesting “monsters” wanted to shut him up for speaking truth to power.
Ted Nugent, ladies and gentlemen. Like his music, his political rhetoric will not be contained by your ideas of subtlety!
