Three more primary wins and a growing war of words with President Obama this week might mean a Mitt Romney GOP nomination, but there’s a new big question for Republicans: who will run for VP?
Don’t worry—there’s an expert on the case. Sarah Palin has picked her favorite—Florida’s conservative firebrand Allen West. The congressman, who earlier this year made headlines with his intense anti-Democrat rhetoric, is the former Republican VP hopeful’s “going rogue” man for the job.
On Fox News Tuesday, Palin touted West’s military experience as well as his understanding of the Constitution and U.S. foreign policy. Encouraging the GOP nominee to avoid a “safe” choice for running mate, the former governor of Alaska noted to Fox’s Sean Hannity that the media will beat up whoever’s chosen, rogue or reliable.
Rogues don’t have a winning record, but who needs statistics? Of course, Palin could herself be picked—her former running mate had a good laugh voicing his own ideas.
