If you’re in line at the Apple store as you watch this, can you pick us up a new iPad?

People around the world are beginning to boot up the tech giant’s latest gadget today, be it at store locations or from their FedEx delivery person. The tablet can also be purchased at big box stores like Walmart and Best Buy.

Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak was second in line behind his wife at a Los Angeles mall. In Tokyo, 450 hopefuls waited patiently—some for nearly 40 hours. Analysts say that even with it’s minor changes, the new tablet could soon put Apple’s stock price over $700, maintaining the company’s lead in the market.

But not all those outside Apple stores today were happy customers. Protestors picketed stores in Washington, New York and San Francisco, calling on the company to improve working conditions in China, where they say manufacturing priorities don’t include living wages and safe conditions for workers. If only there was an app for changing that.
