Blago is heading to the big house.

The disgraced former Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich begins a 14-year jail term today after being convicted of 18 counts of federal corruption, including attempting to sell or trade President Obama’s vacated senate seat for influence in 2008.

Known more for his outrageous quotes than his legislation, with hits like “I’m blacker than Barack Obama” and “I’m Icarus who flew too close to the sun,” Blagojevich was flown from Illinois to Colorado, where he’ll be known as inmate 40892-424.

Jail may prove a tougher environment than Celebrity Apprentice—where Blagojevich was also forced to step down—so he might want to think twice before firing off on his “f–king golden” quotes. Will he get out early on good behavior? We won’t hold our breath.
