Another week, another high-profile celebrity divorce—this time between actors Jennie Garth and Peter Facinelli.
The couple announced Tuesday they would split after 11 years of marriage. Garth played Kelly Taylor in the 1990s hit series Beverly Hills, 90210; Facinelli has starred in a series rabidly consumed by a more current set of hormonal teenagers: Twilight.
The couple, who married in 2001, said in an announcement that they are still “dedicated to raising our beautiful daughters together.” Reports surfaced last July that the couple’s relationship might be on the rocks, suggesting Garth and Facinelli were living separately while trying to work through differences.
Sad news for the marriage success rate in Hollywood, but there is a silver lining: As current and former heartthrobs, Garth and Facinelli shouldn’t have any trouble finding a new squeeze.
