PlayStation Vita is finally here, and Sony has done its best to make sure the peripheral is packed with new games and apps.
The PlayStation Store boasts an influx of new games like Touch My Katamari and Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack, along with applications you would expect from a next-gen portable: Live Tweet for Twitter, Flickr, and Netflix—so you can watch on the go.
Sony has also taken advantage of the Vita’s front- and rear-facing cameras with three augmented reality games as well—Cliff Diving, Table Soccer, and Fireworks.
Reviewers are gushing about the Vita’s visuals, but some have complained of weak battery life. Will the Vita prove that gaming peripherals still have some life left in them, or have mobile phones made the devices obsolete?
One thing’s for sure: Moms have something new to tell their kids to turn off at the dinner table.
