Brady Quinn Apologizes for Tebow Takedown

Every quarterback needs to master the art of backpedaling, and Brady Quinn appears to have that down. The Denver Bronos free-agent backup QB is apologizing to Tim Tebow for comments he made about the star quarterback in an article printed in GQ.

In the piece, written by Michael Silver and titled “The Year of Magical Stinking: An Oral History of Tebow Time,” Quinn suggests the team’s quarter-final finish last season was due to “a lot of luck.” He also suggests that fans were the reason Tebow passed up Quinn in the line for starting quarterback, and even hints that his fellow Christian’s expression of faith doesn’t “seem very humble to me.”

But now Quinn’s saying the article doesn’t accurately depict his level of respect for No. 15. He took to Twitter for damage control, writing his fellow Bronco QB “deserves a lot of credit for our success, and I’m happy for him and what he accomplished.” Is forgiveness part of Tebowing? Time will tell.
