Hack Enables Siri for Jailbroken iPhones

Spire is trending on news that the app will work on any jailbroken iOS 5 phone—and that it’s perfectly legal. TechCrunch notes that while other Siri ports on non-iPhone 4S devices have been available for some time, they violate Apple’s copyrights by distributing Siri’s resource files, images, and code. Spire, however, is a 100 MB download of Siri files directly from Apple, though it needs a proxy address to keep it running on jailbroken iPhones.
