Twitter's trending and the tweets are flying after a redesign launched that aims to make the service faster and simpler for casual users.
The new interface spruces up the 5-year-old site and is anchored by large "Home," "Connect," and "Discover" buttons at the top, allowing users to simply tweet their thoughts, interact with others, or find out more about trending topics.
Mobile apps have been reworked as well, as more than half of Twitter's 100 million active members access the site via smartphones.
Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey compared the redesign to rivals Facebook and Google+ saying, "We will offer simplicity in a world of complexity."
