After Defending Paterno, Ashton Kutcher Takes a Break From Twitter

Ashton Kutcher is trending on news that he doesn’t want to trend anymore! No, really.

The Two and a Half Men star and Twitter god has told his 8 million Twitter followers, “As of immediately I will stop tweeting until I find a way to properly manage this feed. I feel awful about this error.”

This “error” was Kutcher’s earlier sympathetic tweet about now-former Penn State football coach Joe Paterno that read, “How do you fire Jo Pa? #insult #noclass as a hawkeye fan I find it in poor taste.”

Paterno was fired this week amidst a scandal involving his former assistant coach Jerry Sandusky after it came to light that Paterno had knowledge of allegations that Sandusky was molesting at-risk boys and that he didn’t do more to report the alleged abuse.

Kutcher’s offending tweet has since been removed from his feed and the Twitterverse will have to survive with one less behind-the-curve social commentator.
