Qwikster is no more. Netflix has decided to abandon its plan to spin off DVD rentals into a separate unit a mere three weeks after announcing the change in service.
Customers were quick to voice their complaints about the idea of separate websites and separate accounts for DVD rentals and instant streaming movies.
Trying to avoid another P.R. disaster, Netflix CEO Reed Hastings said he got the message, loud and clear: “One website, one account, one password … In other words, no Qwikster.”
