Nancy Reagan’s Near Fall: Former First Lady Rescued by Sen. Marco Rubio (VIDEO)

Nancy Reagan is trending after stumbling but avoiding injury at an event at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library.

Reagan, 90, barely averted hitting the ground thanks to the catlike reflexes of Florida Republican Senator and Tea Party darling Marco Rubio. Rubio was escorting the former first lady to her seat when Reagan’s cane slipped.  As she started to fall to the floor. Rubio braced himself and caught her by the arm as Secret Service agents rushed to her aid.

In his speech at the library, Rubio talked about Ronald Reagan’s conservative legacy and later shot down the idea of being considered for vice president on the 2012 GOP ticket.
