Hear ye, hear ye! The king is dead! Burger King has decided to depose its slightly creepy monarch mascot as the fast-food giant moves to project a healthier image.
According to USA Today, a national ad campaign promoting the new California Whopper, which comes with guacamole, will roll out this weekend and “shows only the sights and sounds of the fresh ingredients being washed, sliced, and diced.”
As of now, there are no plans to bring back the king and his off-putting frozen smile.
