Guy Fawkes is trending because the infamous hacking group Anonymous is threatening to "kill" Facebook on Guy Fawkes Day in November. Anonymous says its motive is Facebook's utter disregard for users’ privacy. (CLIP)
Operation Facebook is slated for Nov. 5, 2011, 506 years after Guy Fawkes tried to blow up the British House of Parliament in a botched attempt to kill King James I.
Other popular targets of Anonymous have been the Westboro Baptist Church, Sony, and Bank of America.
