Stephen Hawking is trending after kicking off the new Discovery Channel series Curiosity, in which the noted physicist and cosmologist tried to answer the premiere episode’s question: “Did God Create the Universe?”
Hawking made headlines last year when his book The Grand Design explored the notion that God was unnecessary for the creation of the universe, earning Hawking denunciation from religious leaders.
Subsequent episodes of Curiosity will tackle other hot-button topics, including immortality, alien invasions, and sex.
