Hitler Youth is trending thanks to Glenn Beck.
After the shootings that killed scores at a Norwegian summer camp attended by the children of Labour Party politicians, Glenn Beck stated on his radio show that the camp reminds him of the Nazi paramilitary organization: “I mean, who does a camp for kids that’s all about politics. Disturbing.”
Torbjorn Eriksen, a former press secretary to Norway’s prime minister called Beck’s comments “ignorant, incorrect and extremely hurtful.”
Bloggers are responding by posting details about a Beck-backed Tea Party camp that is both religious and political in nature.
The Daily Kos points out that the Tampa 9-12 Project seeks to teach kids ages 8 to 12 that “America is good,” “I believe in God,” and “I work hard for what I have and I will share it with who I want to. Government cannot force me to be charitable.”
