Prometheus, the latest Alien movie, is trending after Comic-Con attendees were given a sneak peek.
On a panel moderated by co-writer Damon Lindelof, director Ridley Scott appeared via live feed from Iceland, where he is currently filming. While Scott says Prometheus will share DNA with the original 1979 blockbuster, “everything else will be original.”
Charlize Theron was also on the panel to discuss her shadowy character from the film.
This is Scott’s first sci-fi film since 1982’s Blade Runner, and while he’s looking to answer lingering questions from Alien, he says his ultimate goal with the movie is to “scare the living shit out of you.”
