Dominique Strauss-Kahn is trending after prosecutors indicated that there were problems with the rape allegations against him.
Strauss-Kahn was arrested on May 14 for allegedly forcing a hotel maid to perform oral sex, and forensic evidence indicated there was an encounter between them. But, according to a New York Times report, the unidentified maid may be linked to drug dealing and money laundering, and there were discrepancies between her asylum application and what she told police about that application.
DSK's defense team insists the encounter was consensual. It has been prosecutors, not the defense, who have uncovered the accuser's discrepancies. Strauss-Kahn will reportedly be released on his own recognizance on Friday.
