Former Christian Dior designer John Galliano is trending, as his trial for public insult begins in Paris. Galliano was charged after a string of incidents in which he allegedly spewed anti-Semitic slurs at cafe customers.
A video surfaced of an inebriated Galliano praising Hitler earlier this year. The video may not be entered as evidence in the trial, however, as the patrons in that incident are declining to press charges.
Galliano's defense is likely to center on his supposed triple addiction to alcohol, sleeping pills, and Valium, which his lawyers insist impaired his behavior and for which he entered rehab after he lost his job.
