Mullah Omar, the spiritual leader of the Afghan Taliban, is missing, and some suspect he may be dead.
The Taliban has vehemently denied
these reports, calling them “claims and rumors” but Afghanistan’s main intelligence agency stated that Omar has been missing for the past five days and that some senior Taliban commanders haven’t been able to contact him.
A spokesman for NATO’s International Security Assistance Force said that while it’s tempting to comment on this recent discovery, “what we really need, is a confirmation on what has really happened.”?
