Bob Marley is trending on the 30th anniversary of his death, andfans are paying tribute on Twitter. Marley and his band the Wailers movedfrom Jamaica to London in 1972, hoping to bring their Rastafarian message tothe world. Marley struggled until he recorded the critically acclaimed Catch A Fire . A year later, herecorded Burnin’ which featured the hit singles Get Up, Stand Up and I Shot the Sheriff .
Deemed the first third world superstar, over the next decadeMarley toured the world, spreading messages of revolution, love and ganjaappreciation. Marley died after a battle with cancer on May 11th1981, at the age of 36. He left behind eleven children; a few of whomhave carried on in their father’s footsteps.
