The split was a long time coming, accordingto TMZ , which says Shriver’s been miserable in the marriage for years.She’s become more concerned since Arnold left the California governor’s officeat the start of this year, saying he was growing increasingly “unstable.”
In March, Shriver even took to YouTube to talk about thechallenges of transition.
Over the years, the relationship has had its rough spots.Shriver didn’t want her husband to run for governor of California, butsupported him nonetheless. During the campaign, various women accused Schwarzeneggerof having groped them, forcing him to admit that he has “behaved badlysometimes.”
The couple says they will continue to jointly parent theirfour children, who range in age from 21 to 13.
