The Nissan Leaf is trending after it won 2011 World Car ofthe Year. The all-electric car won top honors at the New York Auto Show,beating out competitors like the BMW 5-Series and Audi A8. The world’s firstmass-marketed fully electric vehicle, the Leaf is Nissan’s answer to Chevy’sVolt, which still relies on a gas engine in addition to battery power.
Other awards from the show went to the Ferrari 458 Italiafor World Performance Car of the Year and the Aston Martin Rapide for WorldDesign Car of the Year.
