Epsilon Hacked: Customers from Walgreen’s, TiVo, Capital One, and Best Buy Are Potential Targets (VIDEO)

Epsilon is trending on news that the online marketing giant was hacked. Internet security experts are calling it “one of the biggest breaches in U.S. history.”

Epsilon houses personal data of millions of customers for more than 2,500 corporate clients, including Walgreen’s, Best Buy, Verizon, Capital One and Citigroup. Epsilon says that customer names and email addresses may have been exposed but insists that no sensitive personal data was compromised.

Potentially affected companies are urging users to be wary of incoming emails that ask for account updates, as it could be a phishing scam. Epsilon, which sends more than 40 billion emails each year, is investigating the breach.
