Mad Men
is trending on
that its fifth season has been delayed until early 2012. AMC has confirmed that it has ordered more episodes, but it’s still unclear whether the network has reached a contract agreement with the show’s creator, Matthew Weiner.
Despite rumors that AMC has asked Weiner to increase product placement, cut two minutes off each episode, and get rid of two regular cast members, sources close to the negotiations indicate all core cast members are currently signed on for Season 5, and that AMC has offered Weiner a $30 million contract.
At the moment, it appears AMC is prepared to continue the show
if both parties can’t work it out.
