Barry Bonds on Trial: Home Run King Facing Perjury Charges (VIDEO)

Baseball’s controversial home run king, Barry Bonds, is trending as his perjury trial related to steroid allegations gets under way in San Francisco.

In 2003, Bonds testified that he believed the substances supplied by his trainer and friend, Greg Andersen, were a mixture of flax-seed oil and arthritic cream. In fact, the government says tests show that those substances were banned steroids known as “the cream” and “the clear.”

The former San Francisco Giants outfielder and seven-time MVP has denied on multiple occasions that he ever used steroids. Andersen has refused to cooperate with the investigation or testify. If Bonds is found guilty, he could face up to 30 months in prison.
