Christian Dior has dismissedhead designer John Galliano after video of his drunken anti-Semitic rant at aParis café surfaced on the Web.
Galliano’s firing comes as Natalie Portman, the face for Miss Dior Cherieperfume, weighed in with her outrage. Portman said, “I am deeply shockedand disgusted by the video of John Galliano’s comments. As an individual who isproud to be Jewish, I will not be associated with Mr. Galliano in anyway.”
Originally slated to wear Dior at the Oscars, Portman instead chose a Rodartegown, which was on display as she claimed her first best actress Academy Awardfor her role in
Black Swan
