Christian Dior’s head designer, John Galliano, has been suspended after allegedly spewing anti-Semitic remarks toward a couple at a Paris cafe. A police source says Galliano’s blood alcohol level was twice the legal limit at the time of the altercation.
Galliano’s drunken outburst comes just days before his upcoming Dior show for fashion week in Paris … and just after he was tapped by Kate Moss to design her wedding dress. The superstar designer’s lawyers deny he used any anti-Semitic slurs.
In France, making anti-Semitic remarks is punishable by up to six months in prison, but so far no charges have been filed against Galliano.
