Toyota Recall 2011: 2.17 Million Vehicles Recalled Over Sudden-Acceleration Concerns (VIDEO)

Toyota is trending afterissuing a recall of another 2.17 million cars. The problem is a familiar one: accelerator pedals that could become trapped underneath thedriver's floor mat. Since 2009, Toyota has been receiving complaintssurrounding "sticky" accelerator pedals and has paid almost $50 million infines for its handling of earlier recalls. Numerous Toyota models from 2003 to2010-including Lexus, Highlander, and RAV4-are included in this latest recall.The Japanese auto giant has now recalled more than 14 million cars to fix gaspedals and other safety problems since 2009.
