Auburn Oak Trees Poisoned: Rival Alabama Fan Arrested (VIDEO)

Auburn University is trending today after the campus's two famed oak trees werepoisoned by a supporter of nearby rival University of Alabama. Auburn fansfrequently festoon the 130-year old trees at Toomer's Corner with toilet paperto celebrate football victories. Police arrested 62-year-old Harvey AlmornUpdyke, who admitted on a local radio show that he poisoned the trees with the herbicideSpike 80DF. Horticulturists have treated the soil around the trees with carbon,in hopes of absorbing the herbicide. Auburn fans will know if their trees aredying if the new spring leaves are yellow.
