Anderson Cooper is trending on news that he and his CNN crew were attacked in Cairo by backers of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak. Appearing on
American Morning
, Cooper recounted how he and the crew were trying to get to a neutral area, away from violent clashes between supporters of Mubarak and protesters calling for his removal. “We were set upon by pro-Mubarak supporters punching us in the head. Suddenly a young man would look at you and punch you in the face.” No one from CNN was seriously hurt in the attack.
