Taco Bell is trending, thanks to a lawsuit that alleges the fast-foodgiant uses false advertising about its beef. The suit claims that meat used ina typical Taco Bell taco contains less than 35 percent beef, well below theUSDA standard for taco filling, which requires 40 percent of the filling to befresh or frozen beef. That means that fillers, binders, and additives make up theremaining 65 percent of the Taco Bell “beef.”
The class action lawsuit does not seek monetary damages buthonesty from Taco Bell in its advertising. Taco Bell denies misleading anyoneand says it will “vigorously defend the suit.”
