Video game fans all over the world arerejoicing that a release date has finally been set for Duke Nukem Forever, morethan a decade after it was first announced. The long-awaited game will arrive instores on May 3, 2011.

dating back to 1991, when thegame was an MS-DOS-based side-scroller. In 1996, Duke Nukem 3D took the gameinto the realm of the three-dimensional, first-person-shooter, and theeponymous Nukem became known for his lewd in-game behavior.
George Broussard, one of the series’ creators, originally announced Duke NukemForever in 1997. Four years later, he said it would be done “when it’sdone.” And now, it’s done.
