Usually when Howard Stern lands in the search churn, it’s because of some outrageous stunt or off-color remark. Not this time.
Stern is lighting up the Internet with this announcement on Thursday morning: (Audio: We are continuing on. I’ve signed a deal. YOU HAVE? I’ve signed a deal.)Terms were not disclosed, but Stern recently ranted “I’m not taking an f-ing pay cut.” In 2006, Stern signed a five year, 500-million dollar contract to bring his talent to satellite radio after decades on the airwaves. Sirius XM now has 20-million subscribers. News of the new Stern contract pushed Sirius stock higher.
