Leslie Nielsen Dies at 84 (VIDEO)

People around the world are mourning the loss of Leslie Nielsen, the legendary funny man who starred in Airplane! and the Naked Gun movies.

Known for his deadpan humor, Nielsen began his 60-year career in the 1950s with more dramatic roles. His comedic breakthrough came in 1980 when he played Dr. Alan Rumack in the movie Airplane! (Dr. Rumack: “Can you fly this plane and land it?” Ted Striker: “Surely you can’t be serious!” Dr. Rumack: “I am serious. And don’t call me Shirley.”) Nielsen came to epitomize the oblivious character surrounded by absurdity. He also one farted on a morning show. Leslie Nielsen died in Florida due to complications from pneumonia. Surely he’ll be missed.
