Now, in Man Seeks God: My Flirtations with the Divine, Weiner roams the landscape of religion, immersing himself in traditions ranging from Sufism (in Istanbul) to Buddhism (Nepal) to the UFO-based cult Raelism, run by the prophet Rael (Las Vegas). Weiner concludes that there’s a reason most religions aren’t a lot of fun.
